John McCain spent part of 2000 running a fairly honest, middle of the road campaign for his party's nomination for president. He ran face first into the authoritarian stylings of propaganda minister Karl Rove's smear machine. After getting battered about the face and neck about black babies he sired and other nonsensical lies, McCain left that race. And we know what happened next, longest and most pointless wars the US has ever fought, and a profound fascist rising in our military and veterans. McCain decided to take another stab at the highest office in the land but this time was determined not to be out-crazied by the now-thoroughly crazy Republican party members. First he laid Sarah Palin on us, oh she of the whacktastical word salads and petty grifting. Then McCain gave us Samuel Wurzelbacher, who could not even grift under his own name. The story that follows is a lesson in the fascist reconstruction of reality.

Over at Joe (the Plumber) for America, tagline "it's not about right and left, it's about right and wrong" a truly delusional missive was posted recently by someone named Michael Becker. However, before you get to that pile of words you have to click past the "'Like' if you think Islam is a danger to the USA" which conveniently takes you to a penis-enhancing advertisement no matter what lengths you go to in order to get rid of it. So the hyperbole begins before even reaching the site. I will share the link but I must ask the gentle reader just in this instance to take my word for it because the last thing I want to do is increase the site traffic for something this stupid. And for God's sake, it has already been shared to facebook over 15,000 times when I looked.

Mr. Becker cannot even get past the first line before telling you that he lied in the title to create a "gotcha" clickbait moment. But the entire piece is ridiculous so why should anything make sense. The post has been up for at FIVE DAYS and this lazy stick cannot be bothered to fix even the title.

The Obama administration, and the President himself, wants to salt into the best men on earth a bunch of freaks.  And yes, we are referring to the transgender lobby as freaks.  They have no place in civilized society, anywhere.  Especially, they have no place in a military unit where people’s lives are in danger.

Trying to talk sense to anyone who would write this, or believe it, is a hopeless cause. Let's just hope their aim isn't very good.

 It is fun to point and laugh, but these people vote and through the self-reinforcing process of media control and propaganda are getting scarier all the time. I know that scanning the comments section of a stupid right wing blog is a no no, but it gives empirical evidence to the theory of fascism in America. This is, for reasons known only to the owners of RW media, now a popular phenomenon. The grandfathers of America have turned mean and so many younger people have followed.

This writer is lying, openly, but it does not change the fact that so many fascists want this to be true to fuel their disgust and self-righteousness. Telling tall tales to the true believers reinforces their impression that the republic is rotten. It makes no difference that the pushers of these tall tales are the primary drivers of that rot, the reason for the dysfunction.

We ignore the "Abrahams" at our peril.
