TPM's Kate Riga posted an article reporting McConnell's latest nonsense words from the podium:
“Yesterday evening, in the midst of these deadly serious events, Speaker Pelosi put out another statement saying she has no intention to end her political game playing,” McConnell said. “At the very same time a global crisis was unfolding in real time, she published another ‘dear colleague’ letter saying she intends to keep our commander-in-chief in this limbo indefinitely.”The "crisis" of course was of the republicans' own making, made deadly by a first strike approved by the dimwit in chief. Donny went from threatening cultural sites to declaring that Iran was standing down after lobbing some missiles at our bases. This is twofold strange for Donny, one is that we haven't attacked a country that could strike back in a long time and two is that somebody must have gotten through his head that escalation would be bad. For him of course, he would burn the country to the ground if it might help him steal more money or slink out of responsibility. But I'm so completely sick of his bullshit and missed his rambling incoherent speech, notable for a record number of sniffs per minute according to the Twitterverse. Someday I hope we get a full accounting of all the drugs that con man is actually on, along with the truth of his finances and taxes. But for now it's back to the game of keepaway impeachment articles.
Someone needs to state this: impeachment is a political process. Playing games is par for the course. Republican hypocrites impeached Bill Clinton while banging their mistresses, decrying the shame brought on the office... their office. It's sickening to see mainstream press (TPM excepted) go along with republican games that the federal government belongs to them, always making the narrative from the GOP perspective. By all means Speaker Pelosi, play as many games with this as possible. I hope the Democrats continue investigating and add more articles of impeachment. Let Moscow Mitch stomp his feet about "limbo" for a while. Maybe it will force some confrontation on team evil's side for once.
